We are having a sales contest using Google Website Optimizer A/B testing on our Internet Business Academy Landing Pages.

Sales contests inevitably make me think of this scene from GlenGarry Glen Ross (contains adult language).

At Managing The Edge we are having our own kind of sales contest. Doug and I are both writing sales copy for our course landing pages and we are having a contest to see who can generate the most conversions…

How are we doing it? A/B split tests using Google Website Optimizer. Basically when you go to http://ManagingTheEdge.com/TwitterForBusiness you will be served either one of two pages – my sales page or Doug’s. It requires very little setup and everything is tracked through Google Analytics. It’s a no-brainer if you are running ads or selling stuff online!

Yes – we’ll be discussing this in a future podcast!
