			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>A <a href="http://www.marketingvox.com/video-in-email-boosts-click-through-rates-2-3x-044057/" target="_blank" title="Embedding Video in Email Newsletters Increases CTR">recent Forrester report</a> says that incorporating video into your email marketing campaigns can increase click-through rates <em>(CTR)</em> by up to 2-3 times.</p>
<p>Here is how we embed video in email newsletters for Managing The Edge subscribers <em>(Have you <a href="http://ManagingTheEdge.com/subscribe" title="Subscribe to our internet business podcast">subscribed</a> yet?)</em> &#8230;</p>

<p>It&#8217;s very easy and it works fantastic. Basically we take a screenshot of our video player &#8211; including the &#8220;PLAY&#8221; icon <em>(yes that&#8217;s important)</em> &#8211; and we drop it in our email right up top. Last make the image a link to your post or wherever you want the user to land and you are all set!</p>
<p>And that&#8217;s it &#8211; you&#8217;ve got video in your email. Granted &#8211; it&#8217;s not true streaming video but it gives the impression and induces clicks. &#8220;Real&#8221; video embedding is not supported by most email clients and servers &#8211; so this is the best solution available to ensure your email is delivered.</p>
